The product manager resume: outcomes over responsibilities

PMs live and die by impact. 'Managed the roadmap' says nothing; the metric you moved says everything.

Ship the metric

Lead each bullet with what changed: activation, retention, revenue, time-to-ship. 'Grew activation 18% by reworking onboarding' beats 'owned onboarding'.

Show the whole arc

Discovery to launch to iteration — a bullet that spans research, decision and result reads as a PM who drove, not just coordinated.

Name the collaboration

PMs work through engineering, design and data. Show cross-functional leadership without a title — that's the core of the job.

Cut the buzzwords

'Synergy', 'stakeholder alignment' and 'strategic vision' land flat without proof. Replace each with a concrete decision and its outcome.
