How to write a LinkedIn headline that gets clicks
Your headline is prime search real estate. 'Aspiring professional' wastes it; specifics win it.
It's not just your title
The default 'Job Title at Company' is fine but forgettable. You have room to add the value you bring and the keywords you want to be found for.
Lead with role plus specialty
'Backend Engineer building payments infra' or 'Data Analyst turning messy data into decisions' says what you do and surfaces in searches.
Include the terms you want
Recruiters search by role and skill. Put the real ones in your headline so you appear when they look.
Cut vague hype
'Visionary' and 'guru' repel more than they attract. Specific and true beats grand and empty.
